Shop the Look: Coastal Living 2016 Showhouse Step inside the breathtaking Coastal Living 2016 Showhouse in Bridgehampton, New York. The 6,800-square-foot retreat designed by architect Fred Throo with interiors by Meg Braff is a modern take on the traditional Hamptons-style home. Shop the lighting looks showcased in some of our favorite spaces and see the full house in the September issue of Coastal Living! Harmonious pops of blue and green can be found throughout the house. The combination makes a splash in the living room, which overlooks the pool area through french doors. The showhouse features 10 bright prints from Braff’s own wallpaper and fabric lines. She selected a white mirror and light fixtures to accent her tropical fan pattern on the powder room walls. In the dining room, Braff opted for white surfaces and chair legs in place of natural wood tones for a brighter, more casual feel. Builders Anthony Balducci and Dave Bennett added character to the 18-foot cathedral ceiling of the master bedroom with white beams and shiplap paneling.
The master suite is the only room to prominently feature the color yellow, which makes the room and its elements feel all the more special. The home was built to be the ultimate retreat for playing host to summer visitors. Guest accommodations include three colorful bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Braff repeated the embroidered shell motif seen on the bedding in the first guest room on the towels in the adjoining bathroom.curtains and blinds cambuslang Rattan pieces in the second bedroom add an touch of vintage flair to the predominantly modern decor.made to measure curtains renfrewshire alabaster with hand-rubbed antique brassdetachable blackout curtain liners

I Am Not Your Negro (2016) Title: I Am Not Your Negro Directed by: Raoul Peck Written by: James Baldwin Starring: Samuel L. Jackson, James Baldwin and Dick Cavett Running Time: 95 minutes In 1979, James Baldwin wrote a letter to his literary agent describing his next project, Remember This House. The book was to be a revolutionary, personal account of the lives and successive assassinations of three of his close friends—Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr.
At the time of Baldwin’s death in 1987, he left behind only thirty completed pages of his manuscript. Now, in his incendiary new documentary, master filmmaker Raoul Peck envisions the book James Baldwin never finished. The result is a radical, up-to-the-minute examination of race in America, using Baldwin’s original words and flood of rich archival material. I Am Not Your Negro is a journey into black history that connects the past of the Civil Rights movement to the present of #BlackLivesMatter. It is a film that questions black representation in Hollywood and beyond. And, ultimately, by confronting the deeper connections between the lives and assassination of these three leaders, Baldwin and Peck have produced a work that challenges the very definition of what America stands for.
