Sleeping up to 4 guests in 2 en-suite bedrooms, 1 Coquet Lodge offers the ideal base for couples or families who are looking to explore Northumberland’s fantastic coastline and surrounding villages and towns, in particular the neighbouring coastal villages of Amble and Alnmouth.

Close to the cottage, there are some stunning riverside walks, along the River Coquet where you can also hire a rowing boat should you fancy a row along the River Coquet. There is also a popular English Heritage attraction on the river bank which is only accessible by boat ‘The Hermitage’, a medieval cave and chapel where a holy man once lived. In the village of Warkworth itself, which is less than half a mile from the cottage and within easy walking distance, visitors can sight-see around the medieval castle, before enjoying a spot of lunch in one of Warkworth’s lovely café’s followed by a browse around the excellent selection of independent shops, great for gift ideas.  From the village, you can get to the golf course and beach in under five minutes from a road which is just across the bridge from the centre of the village.
