We stayed in stunning Porthilly, not the largest, but certainly the most romantic. We loved sitting on the pretty window seat with homemade shortbread and fresh coffee, and the double-aspect views were enchanting. But it was the enormous ensuite that really stole our hearts - who can argue with a walk-in shower and a freestanding tub?
The largest room, Daymer, also has a freestanding tub, and is full of original features: a cast-iron fireplace, characterful panelled walls and a mirrored dressing area. Greenaway, housed in Trewornan’s old chapel, has lofty ceilings, a quirky shower room and heavenly eco-friendly products. Despite being the cosiest, Lundy is no compromise. Lawn views and a rainfall shower are accented by an OS map of Cornwall and a unique bathroom feature: the rope that tolls the house’s rooftop bells! Trevone was added since our visit, but we look forward to viewing this latest offering very soon. Try to nab the breakfast room's window table - light pours in through the huge sash and you’ll have the best chance of spotting hares and buzzards. We started light with fresh fruit, sweet compote and yoghurt, before revelling in eggs Benedict with a mustardy hollandaise, and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and fresh chives. Being so close to Rock and Padstow (or, as locals call it, Padstein), Trewornan is ideal for a foodie weekend.
As well as the Rick Stein empire, you’re within easy reach of Nathan Outlaw’s Michelin-starred restaurant and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen. Paul and Lesley also have a wealth of local recommendations beyond the big names and can book taxis if you don't want to drive. In keeping with the spoiling vibe, you'll get a complimentary cream tea on arrival (jam first in these parts). Oh, and although there’s in-room Evian, do try the home-bottled water, fresh from Trewornan’s own well. Hit the beach at Polzeath or sprawling Watergate Bay, where there's a great watersports centre Take the ferry between pretty Rock and Padstow - both coastal villages have charming cobbled streets, excellent restaurants and tempting boutiques Hire bikes and cycle the beautiful, flat and mostly car-free Camel Trail, which runs along a disused riverside railway line Wetland species are flourishing on the land in front of the house thanks to neighbouring Walmsley Bird Sanctuary, and the grounds themselves have hares, bats, a resident barn owl and buzzards
Ranked amongst the world’s top 100 courses, ardent golfers will relish St Enodoc’s challenging fairways and picturesque coastal setting Explore the wider area with some of our Cornwall top tips - you’re just 30 minutes from the Eden Projectdorma duck egg blue curtains Activities on site or nearby include:curtains wadebridge This is an adults-only retreat, though the owners will accept children for exclusive bookings of the entire property.croscill shower curtain mosaic For more family-friendly places, see ourikea curtain rods dubai Divine home furnishings in Cornwall, handmade curtains & blinds, fabrics, poles, wallpaper, painted furniture, gifts, inspirational home boutique!

Sat upstairs, table by a door behind a curtain. Bit draughty, heating not strong enough. Room was not warm.
But Prosecco was fine. Starters of risotto balls and calamari were yummy. Mains of pork belly and baked pollock were great. I enjoyed the Pinot Grigio and my husband... I'm vegetarian so either have the veggie curry or the cheese souffle which is delicious . The staff are always really friendly and you don't have to wait ages for the food to arrive. Always had a lovely night here. Came for a business do. It was very busy but seemed to be not enough staff. During the starters, we waited for everyone to have a plate in front of them before digging in. This meant that those having soup had warm soup, not hot. That said, my cheese fondue was amazing. My pudding was also amazing. Good service and excellent food. Was a quiet night when we went being just after New Year so there wasn't any really competition for the kitchen. Decor a bit tired and in need of a rethink but would go again as the food was good. If I had a criticism it would be that the portions were rather large and...
Had a lovely meal with great food and good timely service. Although new year's eve the restaurant were offering their usual evening menu (at normal prices) rather than a special menu for the night which suited us perfectly. We had fancied an evening out but generally don't do a big thing for new year so this was perfect. Ate here on lunchtime New Years Eve .3 courses for £15 !!!!!!! We expected little choice and small portions , but no the choice was good and the portions were very good . Great staff serving great food we will be back . Recently visited with a friend... We both had curried sweet potato samosas which were delicious and burgers and fries. Very tasty food, good varied menu, friendly and knowledgeable waiting staff, reasonable price, would definitely visit again. We all loved this place. Very good quality food with great tastes. Great menu, wonderful food and value for money. Local fish in many choices but something for everyone. Have been to this restaurant a couple years ago and enjoyed it so booked again.
