I believe they are working on that now. The carpet is old and always felt damp because of the cold outside. Outlets were questionable, scarce and/or already used, heater was a portable unit, shower was kinda sketchy as it appeared to be an add on to the building and light outside could be seen through the boards. The unit was cold and cramped. As I said, they are currently renovating and when these issues were brought up we were swiftly moved into a nicely equipped room in a house,which was absolutely perfect for us. T
he owner is a great guy!눇Owner and manager were extremely pleasant and accommodating, especially after we found the cottage to be less than what we expected when we booked (site unseen). The owner quickly moved our room after the first of 4 nights as the cabin wasn't big enough (or renovated yet) for the 3 of us. The room we were moved to was perfect and we had no issues whatsoever for the rest of the stay. 눇Miles was great. He upgraded me when I got there. C 눉The curb appeal of the place is sadly lacking. The building we stayed in had been renovated but was poorly finished. The price was right and we got what we paid for but we saw many better places that were just a few dollars more. However, we were committed by that point 눉The online picture of the property is really of a property across the street called Marvins Gardens. The tiny room was in a building off of Atlantic Ave that had 5-6 rooms. The door to the bathroom had not been painted or stained and the sheet rock had been cut short leaving spaces in the walls. N
o closet to hang cloths so we had to use chairs. 1 old limp pillow per person. 1 electrical outlet exposed for use and the cable outlet was pulled from the wall. The refrigerator was unplugged and smelled terrible till it got to a colder temperature. The one window didn't have any curtains. No headboard on the bed because of the slanting ceiling that I banged my head on.눇They had my online reservation 눇Comfortable room with microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker. Q short walk to the beach, but you might want t take the car if going to the center of OOB. 눉Need to spray for bugs, and you didn't have bible눇Loved everything 눇Quiet place, confortable, close 10 mins walk to the beach, and a reasonable price for rental. Seb, who was there at the check-in was very nice. Made sure everything was alright and that we were confortable. Also an outdoor grill that can be used, plus a pool area. We really loved this place. We recommend it to family and friends for a future place to stay.
