Simply wipe gently and allow to dry(The use of  household cleaners for this step is not recommended as most leave a slight residue that will affect how the strips adheres) Separate the strips or remove the number of strips you need to use. Remove the RED 3M labeled liner and apply this side to the hook or clip with the rounded pull tab facing toward to the bottom of the hook Remove the BLACK line, labeled WALL and adhere to your wall or desk. Press and hold firmly for 30 seconds and wait 1 hour before using your newly installed Command Adhesive Hook. Hold hook gently to prevent it from snapping fingers or damaging your wall during removal. DO NOT press clip against wall. Grab the rounded end of the Command strip and stretch it straight down along the wall, at least  6 inches(15 cm) until the strip releases from the wall . DO NOT pull the strip toward you as this may cause it to break and damage the surface it is stuck to.
