Ulmer Studios captured this couple’s infectious happiness on their big day in Franklin, TN, complete with innovative handmade and vintage details tackled primarily by the bride and her bridesmaid. We just adore Carmen’s Time Capsule idea! From the photographers, Josh and Amber Ulmer: Adam and Carmen had a gorgeous southern farm wedding at Southall Eden. Carmen, her bridesmaids & her planner, Jennifer Hamilton of Mr & Mrs Events both worked hands on together to create all of her fabulous details.

Carmen wanted a very undone/natural feel to her flowers so we went to Import Flowers and picked out lots of colorful wildflower bunches, lavender (most important to the bride), garden roses, hydrangeas and lots of greenery. The day before the wedding, Carmen and the bridesmaid’s went to Jennifer’s house and we worked cutting and arranging flowers and making the bouquets for a few hours before the rehearsal. I LOVE the lavender that we used in Carmen’s bouquet… really gave it a whimsical feel. Time Capsule Activity – this was set up at cocktail hour and made by Carmen. Different colors and designs of paper were set out for guests to write advice etc… to the couple. I believe they’re going to wait 10 years to open the box and read all the notes.
