But the bottom of your shower curtain liner turns bizarre colors that range from pink to purple to black because, well, you're bathing with mold every morning. "Mold comes in many different colors," says Carolyn Forte, Good Housekeeping Institute's director of home appliances and cleaning products.  Since mold is a fungus that grows in warm, damp and humid environments, your shower is basically its heaven. It's tough to completely prevent mold from growing, though Forte says there are a few things you can do to drastically help the situation:blackout curtains 210cm drop Run the fan or open a window while showering.pink spotty blackout curtains Keep the fan running for 20 minutes after you shower to rid the room of moisture.curtains wairau park
Squeegee your shower after bathing to remove excess water. Spritz the bottom of your shower curtain liner with bathtub cleaner and rinse. This will help you prevent future mold growth. Forte adds that you should always stretch out your shower curtain after you bathe to speed up the drying process, which again (there's a serious goal here) prevents moisture from getting trapped. When bathtub cleaner does not remove the discoloration from the liner, it's time to get a new one. eclipse curtains meridian grommet blackout window panel in chocolateAnd while we're talking about shower curtains, let's discuss your bathroom tiles:curtains and blinds invermay road Why Shower Curtain Liner Pink Shower Curtain Pink Bathroom Mold Shower Curtain Liner Pink Shower Curtain Moldikea dignitet curtain hangers

Your fabric shower curtain may have a beautiful pattern that complements your bathroom decor, but when you look at it from behind its beauty is diminished by ugly mold stains.
The poor air circulation and humid temperatures found in bathrooms are ideal breeding grounds for mold. Check the care instructions on the curtain tag first and then use simple home-remedy solutions to rid the fabric of mold. Wash your fabric shower curtain in a washing machine. Add two terry-cloth towels to the load to help the cleansing action. Set the dial to gentle, the water temperature to warm and pour in your detergent as the tub fills. Measure ½ cup of baking soda and add it during the wash cycle. Pay attention to the cycles and when it reaches the rinse action, measure ½ cup of plain white vinegar and pour it into the tub. Shake out the curtain when the cycle ends and check the back for leftover mold. Make a paste of baking soda and water, rub it into any remaining mold and repeat the first two steps. Hang the fabric curtain in your shower to dry or in the sun, if possible. Iron it, if necessary, when the fabric is completely dry. Take down the fabric curtain and fold it inward to prevent the mold spores from spreading.
Remove the curtain rings as well if mold has collected around them. Go outside, lay the curtain on the ground and brush away as much of the mold as you can. Fill a tub with 2 quarts of hot water. Add 4 tablespoons of non-chlorine bleach and the shower curtain. Let it soak for an hour. Put the curtain rings and brush in the tub to kill any mold spores they may have picked up. Remove the curtain from the tub, fold it and gently press out the bleach-infused water. Shake, and rinse in a tub of fresh, warm water. Remove and fold again to remove the water. Do not twist to ring it out as the fabric will wrinkle. Hang in the sun, if possible, or return it to your shower to hang dry. Remove the curtain, folding it inward. Bring it outside and lay it flat, mold-side up. In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide with 1 cup of water. Spray generously and let the curtain sit for 30 minutes. Scrub the fabric with a soft brush to remove the mold. Work gently to prevent damage to the fabric. Rinse in warm water and check for remaining mold.
