A neglected yard with nothing but nuisance tree gets transformed into a Tuscan style getaway. The tree is removed and replaced with a redwood wrapped hot tub , a new brush finished concrete patio with a stone fire feature and a wood pergola. Oversized concrete stepping-stones connect to a custom redwood swing , all surrounded by a new fence covered in Cabernet grapes. This empty lot, filled with chunks of broken concrete, gets a Country French makeover. First the huge yard becomes private with the installation of a 6 ft fence and 2 additional feet of lattice. Three destination hard scapes are created. One has a fire feature. A new redwood bridge connects the other two spaces. The bridge crosses a custom built waterfall and stream. Unique raised redwood planter boxes are built and planted with organic vegetables. A drab yard is turned into an outdoor room when the existing deck is enclosed with slat walls that define a new lounging area with fire boulder, and an outdoor kitchen with dining area.

Different colors and textures of plants are added along with a red urn fountain. Finally, the existing grass is scaled down and topped with three red arbors, lanterns, and a tea house sculpture for a look that is relaxing and Zen. A blank slate backyard gets a taste of Asian flair with layers of redwood decks with a cool lounge fire pit area and a one-of-a-kind floating table with a specialty wood countertop. A synthetic lawn and horseshoe pit with custom-made backstop bars on either side, a tranquil basalt water feature and dry streambed and Asian inspired plants throughout the yard complete the transformation. This homeowner's wasted mud space gets a Cabo style facelift with a pine timber pergola and redwood hanging bed. A decorative boardwalk deck and bar seating, plus a bronze fire table with comfortable resin patio furniture. Matt Blashaw and crew pimped this backyard with a decorative redwood sanctuary, a natural dry stack seat wall, a brand new flagstone patio and a one-of-a kind 1950's model truck for a BBQ island, and a tricked out 1930's model car water feature. All surrounded with a lush garden of privacy plants, large mature trees and blooming annuals. Chris Lambton and his team takes this narrow dust bowl of a yard and converts it into a rustic romantic haven with a metal hanging bed and natural flagstone patio.

Not one but two giant water features tie into one pond. Three hardscape patios and shade sails block the Reno, Nevada heat. To define the spaces a decorative art wall is constructed and an old fence gets a new look with varying colors. A barren back yard is transformed into a Mediterranean outdoor living space with a stone spa house, a pergola with Tuscan style columns, and a large cobble terrace. In addition, a fireplace flanked with water walls and a barbecue counter are built. Finally, Italian inspired plants such as olive, lavender, flax and cypress are added to the landscape. Amanda & Tyler have a boring back yard. They'd like a place to eat & entertain so Chris agrees to help them with their vision. The existing covered deck is enhanced by updating the existing railing. A surround is built for Tyler's smoker so that it becomes his outdoor kitchen with a granite countertop prep area. The side stairs which were awkward are replaced with corner stairs that provide more room as well as drop down to a huge new concrete patio complete with a brick fire pit.

A large metal water feature becomes the focal point of the yard. Wood & metal privacy screens are built to hide the back neighbor's house. Horse troughs are repurposed into raised planter beds. And finally, the master bedroom's landing is enlarged and a curved brick seat wall is added to make the space more cohesive. Large trees and colorful landscaping is added, along with new sod. Modern Rustica Outdoor Dining Tammy and Brandi are newlyweds who are looking for an outdoor space where they can relax, dine and hangout with friends. Chris comes to their rescue with a plan to transform their dog-overrun yard into an inviting space complete with a dining area with pergola, as well as a lounge area with concrete patio, and a fire pit with built in benches and metal wall. In addition, the space will get a unique wood water feature, new landscaping and a long wooden landing off the house. Toby is finally ready to rid his yard of the junk and his wife Malea is thrilled. The yard has been neglected for 15 years and with a tiny house, this family of 4 can really use the space for cooking, dining and entertaining.
