walmart eclipse curtain liner

I love my curtains, and didn't want to switch them out. I found these and they were such an affordable option, I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try. The application couldn't be easier, and they make all the difference you need. The bedroom stays darker now, and it is noticebly quieter, as was described. I am VERY happy with this purchase and would recommend these to anyone. The only thing I would say is a helpful tip: if you haven't ever had black out curtains before- as you can imagine, they are much heavier than standard curtains, so make sure you plan accordingly with your hardware. You might need a sturdier rod. This is a great price for blackout liners. Your product was not as advertised. You state 1 pair 54 " wide. It was one pair 27" wide = 54" for each side of the pair. Other sites state that the total width is 54". I talked to customer service, and have had the purchase price refunded ( very very nicely and very very quickly. So as I would rate tje produce one star, I would rate the resolution 6 stars.

Will look forward to using your site again These liners seems to be working well but they are way to narrow, I am going to have to order more in order to cover my windows completely, but I am not sure how to attach it to the curtains as I suspect two liners are going to to wide for one of my drapes.
dobbs curtains and blindsAt this point it may also have been cheaper to buy blackout curtains from the start one not to bother with liners.

THESE CAME CUT IN TWO! YOU HAVE 2- 27''PANELS IN ONE PACKET. BASED ON THAT , YOU HAVE A GAP OF SUNLIGHT STREAMING THRU THE SLIT. NOT 54" WIDE, BUT 2 27''PIECES! A TERRIBLE SCAM PLAYED ON WOMEN EVERYWHERE.NEEDLESS TO SAY, I GOT CREDITED. Product was accurately described.

eclipse blackout curtain liner walmart I just received my blackout drapes and I am very dissapointed.
ready made curtains briscoesThe Specs say they are 54" wide but they are only 27" wide. The two together measure 54". That should have been made much more clear. I now only have half of what I need for my project and they will look ridiculous since they will be all cut up.

I bought these because I need complete room darkness when I sleep. I am very happy with these liners, they are easy to attach, but you have to put them in the dryer as directed in the instructions, to get the wrinkles out first. I will definitely shop at hayneedle again. I added these liners to existing curtains and they seem to make a big difference in blocking the light. They were VERY easy to hang. One thing -- the edges stuck out a bit so I took a hot glue gun and secured all corners. I'm definitely ordering more! these are good at darkening a room however the only way I could get them to stay on was to sew them on. I would recommed them if you know how to sew!Since moving to our new home over a month ago, I have had blackout curtains on my “to-do” list. And while waiting for those curtains to be made……I’ve had blankets and tablecloths hanging from the curtain rods. My little guy has had a Valentine Tablecloth (with large hearts all over it) hanging over his window.

He keeps asking when his “real” curtains will be ready. Sorry buddy……the time is now. I have finally begun making curtains for the kiddos room……and making them into Blackout Curtains. In a seriously simple way. Nothing fancy……just a piece of Blackout Lining added to my curtains. It stays right in place and unnoticed…………unless you separate the fabric from the lining. The lining is in place on the left and then is pulled out of the way on the right. The lining is added right up at the top of the curtains. And hangs perfectly straight, slightly smaller than the curtain dimensions. And you’d never be able to tell from the front of the curtains. Would you like to make your own Blackout Curtains (a really simplified version)?? First of all, I bought my curtains from Ikea because I loved the fabric of these grommet curtains. However, I didn’t want the grommets. Lucky for me, the curtains were too long so I just cut the grommet section off at the top.

So if you have existing curtains or if you’re making new curtains, you can simply add some blackout lining to the back of your curtains. I went to Joann Fabric and found some blackout lining for $6.99/yard but it was half off. (It comes on a big roll back by their upholstery fabric and you can buy it by the yard.) So I bought like 12 yards of it so I could use it with all of the bedroom curtains. And because I bought so much of it, they wound it right back on the roll that it comes on. (Here’s the kind I bought.) This blackout fabric has 2 sides to it. A fabric side and a smoother vinyl feeling side. The whiter side of mine is the fabric feeling side and I wanted it to face outward and the more beige side (smoother vinyl feeling side) to lay right against my fabric. I think the unspoken rule to is to have your white curtain lining face the window so that passersby outside only see white. (By the way, you can iron this blackout lining on a low setting……but be sure to iron on the fabric side.)

If your curtains are already constructed, just cut your piece of curtain lining slightly smaller along all edges, and then attach your lining near the top of the your curtains. Perhaps right below whatever sort of hem you have at the top. If you’re making your curtains from scratch (or have cut off the top like I have), hem both sides of your curtains first and then hem the bottom. Next, fold over the top a 1/2 inch and then another amount that’s big enough to go around your curtain rod. Iron flat and pin in place. Then cut a piece of blackout lining that is slightly smaller than your curtain panel (about an inch smaller along all edges). Next, slide the top edge of your lining under the folded over section of fabric at the top. I slid mine under about an inch. Be sure that your lining fabric is lined up all the way around and is still laying inside the dimensions of the curtain panel by about an inch. Then sew it in place. And iron your fabric if needed.
