walmart curtains eclipse zodiac

High to low rating Low to high rating After spending weeks looking for the perfect curtains and reading tons of reviews, I finally settled on these curtains for my living room. I purchased them over a month ago and they have yet to hang in my home for more than a few hours. The toxic smell coming off of these is unreal. I have small children and a husband with allergies and the fumes were taking over my whole house. I have washed these curtains twice (the second time rusted the grommets) and they have literally spent every day for the past month hanging on my clothes line to try and air them out with no improvement. I would have serious reservations about purchasing them to hang in a small childs room as a room darkener. The chemicals used on the backing of these curtains cannot possibly be good for the health of anyone. I never write reviews on anything I buy, but feel compelled to warn buyers. Yes, I am disgusted over the waste of almost $70 on 4 panels, but am more disgusted that a company can have such disregard for the health of it's customers by using toxic materials.

I ordered linen colored for my bedroom. They block all light and look very nice hung. Overall I'm very pleased today. But, here's what I experienced that makes me think they will not last more than a few years. That's why I give 3 stars instead of higher. - I hung them in the closet for a few months (got delayed putting them up) and not a single wrinkle straightened. So I had to carefully iron them on their front with steam and low iron. - NEVER iron on the back. It stuck to the iron and removed the backing, thankfully just a 1 inch square. That square has total light coming through it and looks bad. Good thing I did it at the bottom. - While hanging in closet, the grommets made green spots on the curtains, like when you wear bad jewelry and your finger turns green. They came out with spot cleaning of mild soap and water but it was so irritating. So the grommets are some poor quality. - After my experience of the grommets and the backing, I do not think I will wash these ever.

I believe they will not make it through. It's too bad that I suspect they can't be washed based on what others said and my experience with the iron. They really look sharp, slide nice on a rod, and block light well. The applied backing is very thin and subject to loose spots that are not attached to the draping material. I bought four panel for 2 windows and they look really good. My only problem with them are the odor they give off. I didn't notice it the day I hung them, but the next day I couldn't hardly stand the smell. Today, I sprayed them down with fabreze air effects and hope that helps. I didn't see any reviews with this problem but I did see reviews on different name brand curtains with that problem when I was looking for these. If anyone has solution to remove the smell I would appreciate any advice. I don't want to have to return them because I like their look. This is the first time that I have used a blackout curtain. I bought the Eclipse Zodiac Energy Efficient Curtains, they were stylish and thick.

No way are they room darkening. Room was bright as ever. Had to put some black curtains behind these. When the sun hits them they stink something fierce. Stunk up the whole room. Will not be buying these again. I haven't hung them yet so I can't comment on the quality. They look very nice. These curtains work perfectly! They darken the room very well and they look nice and elegant.Mainstays Blackout Energy Efficient Grommet Curtain Panel Mainstays Blackout Energy Efficient Grommet Curtain Panel: Energy-efficient, light-blocking and insulates from the heat and cold 1...00% polyester curtain panel Easy to hang and style grommets Grommets fit a curtain rod up to 1.5" in diameter Available in... This black-out curtain did exactly what I needed in a room that had a street light out in front. I would recommend it to others. The pictures I included are 2 of our 4 windows which have the Eclipse TheraBACK curtains... I have three 6ft Huge one panel (extremely thin) windows and these curtains have helped keep out so much heat, and hopefully during winter it will keep the cool air out as well.

I Really love how much darkness they give! If you work at night and sleep during the day, or just want to take a nap without sunlight in your face these WILL WORK PERFECTLY!! I also LOVE the material! I can wash it and dry it and the material holds up Very nicely. I know Eclipse also sells Theraoback ( I had purchased those in the past and the FIRST time I washed them the back got stuck together and ruined the curtains!) I would NOT recommend the TheraBACK... "TheraLAYER" is the BEST- 5 STARS... They really block the direct sun that had been creating a "hot box" out of my living room. Site to store pick-up worked well. The curtains enhance the bedroom area by blocking out unwanted outside light and noise. This curtain is beautiful and the color (moss) matches my room very nicely. It makes the room dark but does not block over 99 percent of light as stated. For my east facing window, I would say it blocks 80% of the light. That's why I give four stars. I was looking for energy efficient draperies and found these at Walmart.

They are very elegant looking at a very reasonable price. It appears that they will do the job this winter. We live in upstate NY so on top of the cold winters, we also get a lot of wind and was looking for a drapery that could help block any drafts. Winter isn't here yet, but we have had some windy days and it appears that these will do the job. I ordered draperies from JC Penney's for my sliding glass door and paid alot more for them, these draperies appear to be just as well made at a much better price! I ordered 2 panels for one window, and they are different lengths. Which looks terrible side by side. So I ordered another one and it was another length. we purchased these curtains so we could make a large curtain for our church Christmas play. we chose these because of their beauty, color, and durability. when the panels were sewn together, they looked great! everyone really loves them! I hate hate hate the color of these curtains! I don't know what color the previous reviewers were talking about but I got these in Smoke and on the pictures here it looks like it's a nice light color but in reality it's an ugly dark gray.

It's not even close to what it looks like on the picture. The curtains work fine for keeping the light out but look very depressing. I'm keeping them for now but will look for something else meanwhile.
