I believe the inside diameter of the grommets are 1 1/2 inches. The diameter of the opening of the grommet is 1 3/4" I think a 1 3/4" rod would be a really snug fit and may not slide well. If you need privacy you will need a heavier overdrape at night. They're crinkled and they're sheer but not as sheer as the typical plain ones. Light in weight,not completely sheer, fine palpable texture running throughout! I ove them and get many compliments. HEAVIER CANT SEE THROUGH JUST RIGHT FOR MY PURPOSE. The "sheers", if closed, allow plenty of light to come thru but prevent any determination of the room inside the house. They are a little heavier than the very sheer curtains, however I am using them under the black out grommet drapes.

I wouldn't use that pole with these curtains. It will just about fit and probably won't look right. They should fit on the 1 3/4" pole. My curtains measure 1 5/8" inside the ring of the grommet. My advice to everyone is because the curtains are so sheer, you will need three or four times as many as you thought. But they are lovely. I would purchase them again. if you wrapped a measuring tape around the rod and the diameter measured 1 3/4 it will fit.

My rod pole is a bit more than 2 in. when wrapping a tape measure around it. The grommet opening is 1 9/16 so your rod will work. We have installed on wood rods and we love the total appearance and quality of the sheers. They are easy to slide on the rods. The grommet opening is 1 1/2 inches from what I can see. I have a 1" rod going through and the rod is bronze. The window the majority of mine are mounted on is 96" wide. Beware that the lengths can be tricky depending on your flooring, etc. I moved mine around quite a bit and hid a couple behind furniture. The grommets are not silver. Hello saxabbott, the 95 inch length is indeed from the very top to the very bottom. There are 1.5 inches above the grommet to the top - so for a 94 in window, one would need to affix the rod ever so slightly below the top of the window, in order for the curtain to hang right to the floor and also cover the entire window.
