traverse curtain rod home depot

What is the max weight (lbs) per linear foot that this rod will hold? I have 2 panels, each pane... I didn't engineer this traverse rod so I cannot speak to the weight it can support per liner foot, to include the distance the rod may be extended away from the wall. My seat of the pants experience with this rod is that it would adequately support 22 pound panels if ALL the included wall support brackets are installed and are not adjusted more than four inches from the wall. In my opinion, finding a more robust traverse rod would be difficult unless purchasing a heavy duty rod for commercial buildings used in high end luxury hotels or restaurants. Can this rod work with curtains other than "Pinch Pleated"? While it would be possible to place pin-on curtain hooks designed to work with traverse rods at the top of curtains with rings (between the rings) using the traverse rod to easily open and close the curtains, the appearance of doing so would not be the best because curtain rings are designed to be slid over straight smooth curtain rods for the correct look
, open or closed. Using a traverse rod with ringed curtains is really a matter of personal preference since the two are not designed to work together, if the appearance of doing so is acceptable, it can be done, though most people would not. How do I select the width for the order? I recommend using a longer traverse rod than needed. The benefits of doing so move the sliding overlap of the rod closer to the end allowing smoother operation and makes the rod stiffer or stronger. To select rod length, select the width of the drapes that will be installed. It is best to use two drape panels with a center pull rod, although four or six smaller panels could be used, though not optimum. To select drape panel width, measure the desired width to cover the window and add the center "overlap" of four inches (two-inches each panel) and then add the fold back at each end, usually three inches for a single set of drapes and six inches when layering two drapes, one over the other (two rods required).
If the width is 100-inches, add 10-inches (4+3+3+) to come up with drape panel width and divide by two. The drape panels needed would be 55-inches each if the length of coverage measured was 100-inches. If only 56-inch or 60-inch drape panels are available, adjust (lengthen) the rod with as needed. leopard print curtains 90x90So either an adjustable 66-120-inch rod or an adjustable 84-156-inch rod will work. elfie's curtainsThe longer adjustable rod being stiffer and stronger, although not required, especially for light weight drapes.kacee curtains Will this work over a vertical blind system?harper red eyelet curtains This single rod will extend a maximum of 4-inches from the wall.
If more extension is needed, I recommend a double traverse rod, installing only the outer traverse rod. You should be able to install drapes over vertical blinds if some spacing can be obtained between the closed blinds and the drapes so as not to catch on the blind slats when opening or closing, and the drapery rod wall brackets do not interfere with the blind housing. How heavy a curtain will it support? In my opinion and from my experience, this rod will easily support the weight of your drapery panel(s) if using all the wall brackets supplied with this rod. Equal distance bracket spacing will be about 28-inches and is less than 5 pounds per supported segment. How many carriers (the nylon piece the hook goes through) does this come with? I am trying to set... I don't know the exact number of carriers this rod comes with. I can say I have installed two of these rods at 120-inches each and there were at least 25-percent or more carriers on each side than were needed.
There really isn't much more to know about these rods. They are heavy duty and will easily support 30-pound draperies and more. They come with a spring loaded cord tensioner, all the screws and hardware needed for installation, and they operate smoothly without catching or binding. how do I chose a traverse rod size? You will need a traverse rod that is 92" + 4" = 96" This rod will do the trick. It"s adjustable from 84" to 120". How long is the cord?Errors will be corrected where discovered, and Lowe's reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted. Do these work with a draw string (for left/right/center pull) or is it hand operated with a baton? It is hand operated. There's no draw cord. A baton was not included with mine, but they can be purchased. Can I cut this rod can you connect 2 8' sections for a continuous 16' length of travers rod? I think it would be possible. You can purchase mending plates to join pieces of wood, and there's room on the back of this rod (which is a half-round piece of wood) for a narrow mending plate, I believe. I think you would not want the junction of the metal hardware to meet at the same place where the wooden rods meet, because that would be a weak area.
However, you could cut one of the metal tracks and put the two pieces at either end of your long wooden rod. I hope this helps. can this be cut down from 8' to 7' or 6' and still be able to screw in some finials Can I get a technical data sheet with installation details. The Traverse Curtain Rod Carriers (6-Pack) Internet # 203714025 mentioned in THDSupport's answer are not the same as the carriers that come on the rod. I would not recommend purchasing these carriers to go with this rod. I have attached a photo. The carrier on the right came with the Martha Stewart rod. The carrier on the left is the #203714025 carrier. I can't see how they could possible work together. The one on the left doesn't even fit into the slot, the "wheel" part is way too big. I still need more carriers. THDSupport: do you have another option? How many carriers with this rod? Where can I find extra matching carriers? See question 1 that ...
