De honingraatstructuur zorgt voor een stilstaande luchtlaag die isolerend werkt. Verduisterende Duette shades hebben daarnaast een speciale isolerende aluminium coating aan de binnenzijde. De potentiële besparingen zijn het grootst in combinatie met enkelglas in de winter. Bij de combinatie enkel glas met Duetteshades kan het warmteverlies wel tot 60 procent gereduceerd worden. Bij de combinatie dubbel glas met Duette shades kan het warmteverlies tot wel 46 procent verminderen. Het is lastig om concreet te zeggen wat dat voor de energierekening betekent, omdat iedere woning anders is en het gasverbruik van meerdere factoren afhankelijk is. In een gemiddelde woning met enkel glas kan de energiebesparing oplopen tot 18 procent. Architella® is a cell-in-cell construction that offers the famous Duette® honeycomb structure in three insulating air layers instead of one. This quality is currently available in 25 mm, 32 mm and 64 mm. Architella® ensures a more uniform pleat width on the front and the back. Duo Tone versus Full Tone

The Luxaflex® collection includes Duo Tone and Full Tone fabrics. With Duo Tone fabrics you can choose different colours on the interior side while retaining an identical, neutral colour (white) on the exterior side. A Full Tone fabric is the right choice if you prefer a colour that matches or contrasts the colour of your outside window frames and/or building. The Duette® Batiste fabric allows you to hang the same colour in every room of your home and to be flexible with the transparency at the same time. Depending on the amount of privacy that you desire and the amount of incoming light you want, you can choose a different transparency in every room. Many of the 64 mm colours are also available in 32 mm and/or 25 mm. This means you can install 64 mm Duette® Shades for large windows and 32 mm or 25 mm for smaller windows or conservatories in the same colour and in the same room. Fabrics and profiles are available in the three pleat widths in the same colours (slight deviations in colour are possible).

Many Luxaflex® products are available with a crank system. These systems are designed to fit neatly into the frame of your windows, doors and skylights and eliminate the need for free hanging cord loops.
