Insulated glazing, more commonly known as double (or more increasingly triple) glazing, is manufactured by putting two or three panes of glass together, separated with a 'spacer' and a vaccum or gas-filled space, with the intention of reducing the heat transfer across a part of the building envelope. Most units are manufactured with the same thickness of glass used on both panes but special applications such as acoustic attenuation or security may require wide ranges of thicknesses to be incorporated in the same unit. Our services now extend to fire glass solutions, including our fire rated insulating glass unit brand, Pyrotherm. The fire safety environment is an adverse one and it can be intimidating. Our painted glass panels are manufactured to compliment a wide range of products used in curtain wall applications. The purpose of a spandrel panel is to cover backing walls and/or services. We recommend with all painted glass, a sample is ordered and viewed in the intended area with final lighting conditions before purchase.
