We use light weight curtains and I'm not sure how much more weight the rods could handle. Works great, but a bit flimsy. I'm currently using it to hold dishtowels on the side of the fridge and they hold well for the most part. Great value for the cost. worked perfectly on a steel door. I am really happy with this product! I teach and use them on my classroom door for my curtain.
