royal velvet curtains bianca

What a beautiful accent? In this 1950's apartment styled by Anna Leena (the girl behind those fab clothes hangers), the dusty pink Gubi Stay sofa stands amidst a sea of milky hues and a touch of black (love the Mantis wall lamp!), adding the faintest hint of colour. It helps that the piece is also encased in this year's texture - luxurious 'velvet'.  AND there's a super fluffy sheepskin beanbag to lay about in too (want!). I'm also loving the sheer off-white curtains which add to the soft, calm feel of the space. All in all, a lovely space waiting for someone to move in and add their layers... Styled by Annaleena Leino for sale through Alexander White. Feeling much calmer after this home tour, how about you?! The big palm is great isn't it? It's always worth looking out for these big plants on second hand sites such as gum tree. I discovered made to measure / finish white linen curtains like the ones in the bedroom here (on my 'to do' list!). Is there anything that stands out to you?

Different shades of grey and high quality materials together with authentic Danish design pieces from Erik Jorgensen, Montana, Georg Jensen Damask, Kay Boyjsen, Louis Poulsen and Kähler make it feel luxurious. Yet it has that lovely relaxed feeling characteristic to Pella’s stylings. // styling Pella Hedeby, photography Ragnar Omarsson // Elegant apartment in grey, beige, limestone, wood and steel
It’s not the first time an apartment decorated by talented Marie Ramse gets noticed here (previously shown here and here) and it’s no wonder as she relly knows how to mix and match materials and colors so that the result is balanced and sophisticated. This here is her latest project for Swedish real estate company JM. It’s an elegant premium apartment decorated in soft and neutral colors like sand and different shades of grey together with lighter and darker wood, limestone and steel. // Styling Marie Ramse, photohraphy Emily Laye, via Hitta Hem // Home + creative studio This artists loft in Berlin designed by Annabell Kutucu doubles as a home and also a creative studio. The apartment has actually really simple design, but it’s well exposed architectual features make it special: bare white painted brick wall, ceiling beams, extra high ceilings and wide and tall windows together with herringbone floor make it a dream space for a studio. // photos by Claus Brechenmacher, via Est Magazine //
IKEA has released their news coming to sale in February and there are some things I’m particulary excited about, for example this flexible and minimalist looking Eket storage system seen above. To keep things organized and home clutter free some great storage is a must and often times it’s hard to find budget friendly options that would look stylish and that could be adjusted to ones needs. Shelves, cabinets and drawers can be combined in many ways to achieve the desired look. There seem to be also some great accessories available to organize smaller things on the shelves. Two new kitchen designs will be also available starting from February – blond wood Askerud for lighter option and darker Kungsbacka designed by famous swedish design studio From Us With Love. Lastly, new bedding frame from Nordli series will have drawers under the bed – perfect for smaller bedrooms in need for extra storage space. But what really caught me in this last picture is the deep dark green wall in combination with beige linen bedding!
// photos via IKEA press room Late new year wishes Almost two weeks of this new year have flown by and it seems quite late to wish you a happy new year, but I will do it regardless… I wish this new year will have plenty of wonderful things waiting for you, that light and good thoughts will guide you and you will have plenty of time to stop and look around, reflect and take time for what is most important and what you really like to do. Fell in love with this shade of dark green used on the walls in a workspace styled by Pella Hedeby and photographed by Kristofer Johnsson for Residence magazine. Feels so cozy and velvet curtains give the whole space a luxurious touch. // photos from Kristofer Johnsson // Christmas mood with H&M Home Christmas is approaching and while we are still waiting until the next weekend to bring in the tree I have started adding some subtle Christmas decorations here and there. When it comes to setting home holiday ready I like to keep things simple and not overdo it – some evergreen branches, cones and a few decor items are enough for me to bring the feeling in.
This year I found some really nice golden accessories from H&M Home that give instantly festive look to any room. And the good thing is that apart from Christmas hangings all these items can be used also beyond the holiday season! Things used for styling: Christmas hangings, glass vase, sphere trinket box, stoneware mug, round wooden tray, quilted bedspread and linen bedding – all from H&M Home. // Posted in collaboration with H&M Home. New apartment in sandy colours This modern Scandinavian style apartment is a display home in suburban part of Stockholm styled by talented Marie Ramse for JM. Sand tones and fray-green match perfectly and combined with lots of white give the space light and warm feel. // styling Marie Ramse, photography Sara Medina Lind // Kinfolk office by Norm Architects One of my favourite magazines Kinfolk has moved their headquarters from Portland to central Copenhagen and these photos above are from their new office and gallery designed by Danish studio Norm Architects.
With mixes Scandinavian and Japanese design, interior architecture is minimalist, harmonious with natural feel in accordance with Kinfolks credo of slow living. Wood together with warm sandy-tones creates home like environment that should be very comfortable to work in and is also welcoming and inviting to the guests. I am really happy with the current situation of working from home, but I wouldn’t mind having an office space like that. You can read the full story and see more photos here. Rainy Day print in my bedroom + MY SHOP Some time ago I posted a few pictures of my living room with a my photo of raindrops on a window hanging on the wall and got huge amount of emails asking where this photo is from and how it can be bought. Since I still get these emails I thought it would be more convenient to open my own little shop where anyone interested can get it quickly. Rainy Day comes in two different sizes, 50 x 70 cm or 30 x 40 cm and is printed on high quality photo paper.
