Each emmber of the clan has their own unique talents, stemming from a desire to live life to be happy, rather than the pursuit of money. When Alice invites her new beau, Tony, and his family to dinner, trouble begins brewing, as the two families' values are at odds with one another. Actors with special skills are especially encouraged to apply (marimba or other musical instrument, ballet training, opera singing, etc).
Red Curtain encourages non-traditional casting, and many roles are open to color-blind and color-conscious casting. All roles are open. There is no pay. Just didn't care for it. *Penny Vanderhoff-Sycamore (F 50+) Aspiring playwright. *Paul Sycamore (M 55+) Penny's husband, who makes fireworks in the basement. *Essie (F early- to mid-20s) Daughter to the Sycamores and Ed's wife. She fancies herself a ballerina. *Ed (M mid- to late-20s) A Tinker whose hobbies include working on his printing press and playing marimba. *Alice Sycamore (F mid-20s) Appears to be perfectly "normal." *Rheba (F 40+) Loves the Sycamores and Grandpa and is their live-in cook. Tonight's dinner is Corn Flakes and watermelon. *Donald (M 40+) Rheba's main squeeze. Very personable and friend to the Sycamores. *Mr. DePinna (M 50-70) Assists Paul in making fireworks

He is madly in love with her. *Mr and Mrs Kirby (50-60) If you guessed they were stuffy, uptight rich folks, you were right. *Mr. Henderson (M 30-60) From the IRS, he is everything you'd want a villain to be. He wants money--not for himself, but for the government. *Mr. Kolenko (M 40-140) The Mad Russian. He is a loud, proud, comical ballet teacher. *Gay (F 40-70) The Actress, who really loves a drink now and then...preferably now. *Olga (F 20-80) The Grand Duchess...who moonlights as a waitress, She is Kolenko's friend.
