It's heavier, unfolds nicely, and best of all, doesn't have that horrid plastic stench of freshly made Barbie doll hair! I kept that cheaper liner going for a year by "washing" it nearly every shower with my homemade, after shower cleaner. Put a half cup of dish soap (not lotion-y type) in a spray bottle. Warm up 1 3/4 cup vinegar in the micro for about 40 seconds then add to the bottle. These shower curtains I found to be great window covers in the cold winter months. Cut the shower curtain in half and you have enough material for two signal windows keep it at the size it is it covers larger windows. What is even nicer is you can see out your windows. Very light and minimum support around the hanging holes. Plus, not worth the extra price for the clear version. I had not expected much for $4, so I was surprised by the overall quality of this liner, which I use as a shower curtain even though it is see-through because I live alone. The liner is thicker than any actual shower curtain I have owned, precision cut, well made, and even has magnets which hold it in place in the bathtub! I bought the clear version, which is beautiful, but I might also buy the frosted version which I can use when I have visitors. This is a very nice liner. Heavy duty and crystal clear. Glad I bought it. The grommet holes in this curtain are smaller than usual, so the rings couldn't fit through, very unsettling! I hate how expensive liners have gotten. This was a great value! I tried two different kind of shower hooks, and the grommets are much too small. They also pop out very easily, which does make the shower curtain fit the shower hook. However, the curtain can easily tear now. I'll spend the extra money next time to get something that fits most shower hooks.

Also the magnets at bottom to help keep the curtain in place. Curtain is very soft and I think it was treated with some type of anti-mold treatment, which is needed where I live. I really like it. The liner is white and of heavier weight than the medium weight ones of similar style. It is 71" instead of the standard shower curtain size of 72". Product is soft and flexible - fits the new curtain as if they were made for each other. Would buy again very good for the price This is a good reasonably cost shower curtain liner. Not fancy but nice and functional. I used Wal Mart's free home delivery for this item which was very nice for me. this is a heay duty showetr curtain and i think it will hold up better than what i had in use before
