I am also more than happy to alter existing curtains and blinds, and I make a wide range of accessories including pelmets, tie-backs, cushions, beanbags and seat pads.

I’m happy to offer my customers the advice they need to make the best decisions for their home. I help them choose the right curtain headings or style of blind I also take the mystery out of measuring windows so my customers know how much material they need, and can suggest good places to buy fabric. I am happy to give customers all the advice they need, by phone or e-mail and I am happy to receive fabric, and dispatch completed curtains and blinds, by post or courier if necessary. I also write a blog which is full of useful tips and advice about different curtain and blind styles. Most of our customers choose to take advantage of Act One Interiors' free local home consultation service. We will listen to your requirements and offer ideas and advice, and we will measure up and provide a quotation for the work required. A good selection of pattern books is available to help you choose your fabrics, and to help you make your final decision, we can bring samples to your home, or will order your own cuttings as appropriate, to ensure they are exactly right for you. (For new clients further afield, a small call out fee may be agreed, which will be fully refunded against your order.) Once your curtains and soft furnishings are ready, they will be delivered to you (free of charge) and fitted appropriately. We think this is the best way to ensure that you are completely happy with the finished result. There is usually an additional charge for fitting tracks and poles, but the hanging and dressing of your curtains is all included as part of the service for all customers within a reasonable distance.

If you wish to fit your own tracks we will be happy to work with you and provide advice if necessary.
