Even if you are an absolute beginner and a bit frightened of a sewing machine, We will guide you through measuring marking and cutting out fabric to assemble an unlined curtain with a smart pencil pleat header.  Using easy to learn hand stitching, everyone will take home a sample curtain made from one metre of fabric. For those of you who know how to make a basic lined curtain, you might like to try Advanced Curtain Making next. It is a day to advance your abilities by learning the techniques of different headings, interlining and hand pleating.

For a more contemporary look, try our Make a Roman Blind one-day workshop. From measuring the window to fixing it to the wall,we will unfold the tools and techniques for making bespoke blinds for any room in your house. You will learn how to calculate where the folds will be,attach the lining,  insert hand cut rods into pockets and thread the cord- all in a suitable fabric to bring perfection and privacy to your decor. The Goodlife Centre has a  selection of suitable fabrics for you to use, you will make a sample blind or curtain in each workshop to take home with you.
