Have had these before.and they were a good value for the price. this time, in a new house. the measurements did not jib. The two end windows were short width wise, one and 1/4 inch, the other 1/2. The center window shade. supposedly 48", was woefully narrow and the attached valance far shorter top to bottom that the two sidekicks. Ordered one more 48" shade for another window across the room and MIRACLE! it was complete and accurate. Swapped out that window shade for the off sized one and at least have something halfway decent to look at until I can afford to have some properly made to fit.

on the plus side, the magnetic bar mean you never have the frustration of the little drawing cords jumping their guides and requiring re threading. Just be caveat emptor and immediately return any shade that fails to meet the described dimensions. I am way out in the boonies, so a drive into town or UPS return would cost more in time lost nd $$ than the shades are worth. I ordered these shades to go in my eat in kitchen and dining room. I was disappointed that you can see the magnets through the white fabric. A couple of the shades were dirty probably because they pack these in a cardboard box but don't wrap them in plastic. The quality of the shade was decent for the price and the nice thing is you can remove the shade from the header strip to clean them. The shade attaches to the header with Velcro. One thing that disappointed me as well is that the shades are actually 1/2" shorter in the width than the stated size. Which was an issue for me. I had ordered both the 23"x64" and the 27"x64" sizes and both were a 1/2" shorter than the stated

Putting it up was a little bit of a pain,i have metal around my windows,and it took my husband alittle while to drill the holes,but once it was up it looks very nice.It comes with a template so you can tape it to the window and then drill the holes.The top of the shade has velcro so you can pull the top of the shade off,and out of the way when your installing it.I would recommand the shade,and im going to buy more in the near future.First out of the box had fabric of valance adhered to glue on the top rail that pulled he backing off the fabric when unrolled leaving ugly light leaks. Second one was packed the same, but did not peel off as badly; however, that one was folded in such rumpled fashion that unfolding left breaks in the backing throughout the body of the shade. The material is flimsy and so poorly packaged - just a little tissue or something might have helped to keep it from sticking to itself. The hardware and overall concept are good, but the fabric part is hopelessly cheap.

Will keep the better of the two I opened and return the other two, since I have drilled and installed hardware and need immediate coverage on that window, but I'll have to try to cover the sorry fabric with something to hide the breaks in the backing.But the best thing is no more ugly cords. the magnetic strips are heavy duty so the blind stays in place! Pros: Easy to install and easy to operate and no strings to jumble up. Cons: They do not darken a room at all if that's what your looking for. With a corded shade you can open to exactly where you want by pulling the string. With these they have 4 to 5 settings from closed to different degrees of open to all the way open.Looks just like picture. Only downside is adjustment of length. Can only be adjusted in about 6-8" increments of length. The shade is easy to use, clean flat lines and no dangerous cords for children or animals to get caught in and hurt themselves. This shade is a great look.
