1, 2016 Helpful (3) Interview Application I applied online. I interviewed at IKEA. Interview Received an email from HR to schedule a phone interview about a week after applying. She called & described the position, starting pay, etc. Checked with my availability & scheduled an in person interview with the safety & security manager.I sat down with both the safety & security manager and another person who I assume was from HR. They were both very nice. The manager was professional & laid back.

The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Emeryville, CA) in May 2016. Interview Kind of long. I went to a job fair and it took about a month to actually start. I had 3 different interviews with 3 different people. 1 of which is now my manager , they were all nice except the first guy who was kind of a poker face. But none the less he apparently liked me so I can't complain. I took a drug test and background test. Interview Questions Answer Question May 28, 2016 Interview Application I applied online.

Interview They brought me to a small room with chairs. The interview was very low-key. The two managers were there. They asked more about why I was interested in working for their company than trying to trick me with questions, which was nice. They explained a little bit about the IKEA business model.

Interview Questions Answer Question Apr 19, 2016 Helpful (1) Interview Application I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at IKEA (Portland, OR) in April 2016. Interview Met several managers at a meet and greet, then came back the next day for an interview with one manager. There were several interviews occurring at the same time, in one room. My interviewer was quite young and I believe my (older) age had much to do with not being offered a job. All managers/supervisors who were interviewing were fairly young, which may be the culture they are looking for. Interview Questions Answer Question Answer Question Apr 20, 2016 Interview Application I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at IKEA (Burbank, CA) in April 2016. Interview After I applied online with IKEA, I received an email inviting me to a meet-and-greet. When I arrived for the meet-and-greet, I was immediately welcomed by a smile-friendly co-worker, was offered some snacks (the whole table was filled with food), asked what position I applied for, and was taken behind the curtain for the interview by the hiring manager.

It was a very relaxed interview that was done in the back of their warehouse where all their boxed furniture is located, it lasted only 5 minutes and afterwards, was given a 2nd interview date the following week. For the 2nd interview, I was taken to a small office (about as big as an apartments bathroom) which was setup like someone's living room: there were 4 very comfortable arm-less chairs that I was able to lean back on and a coffee table. Again, it was a very relaxing environment and this time I was interviewed by an assistant manager. I was asked a few questions then was told to be patient because sometimes it can take up to 3 weeks to hear whether I made it to the 2nd part of the hiring process (background check) or if they decided to go with another applicant. However, the next day I was contacted by the outside company they use to complete the background check and less than a week later was offered a position in their Home Delivery department. Not only did the managers go out of their way to not only make you feel very comfortable they also explained the whole process so you wouldn't feel like I was being left in the dark.
