ikea dignitet curtain ring with clip

Published on December 5th, 2012 | Photo Wall Done Riktig Materials: DIGNITET Curtain wire, DIGNITET Support/corner fixture + RIKTIG Curtain hook with clip Description: Riktig is the Scandinavian word for right. I wanted to create a photo wall that: 1) could be easily updated with new photos 2) wasn’t too expensive 3) wasn’t dependent on one business that might not be there in the future (I’m looking at you ixxi) I used: DIGNITET Curtain wire DIGNITET Support/corner fixture RIKTIG Curtain hook with clip Big sheets of thick paper/cardboard Glue (I used a liquid glue sponge thingie) Photos Cutting knife, ruler etc. I believe this hack is pretty self-explanatory but some notes: The hooks between the photos are made be combining two hooks. The square photos are 20x20cm. The black squares are 25.3×25.3cm. The holes are 4mm in diameter and the centre of the holes are 1.2cm away from the sides/tops/bottoms of the black squares. The distance between the black squares is 3.7cm.
Remember that distance when calculating the size of the 2:1, 3:1, supersized 1:1 or whatever shape you might want to create:) I believe that’s about it. The lamp is also from ikea (FORSÅ). The images in the bottom are a bit off because I ran out of hooks – Ikea is only 10 min away so I’ll fix that soon. I don’t have the total costs for this project but the IKEA items are dirt cheap:) ~ Andreas Larsen, Copenhagen More hacks on IKEAHackers.net COPYRIGHT @ 2016 IKEAHACKERS.NET | IKEA is a registered trademark of Inter-IKEA Systems B.V. | or the IKEA Group. are presented for reader convenience only and do not imply IKEA's approval of this website and/or the modification of its products. Back to Top ↑Last month I mentioned that I bought myself a purrrty new desk chair and I promised a peek into my home office mini-makeover.
What I haven’t mentioned is that I was intent on creating a cozy home workspace because starting February 1, I became self-employed! Those of you who follow me on Twitter may have caught wind of this, and I haven’t made a big announcement yet here on Claremont Road because I’m still sort of getting settled into my new role. I have some cool projects up my sleeve that I’ll be sure to fill you in on in due time, but for now, I thought I’d let you in on the office mini-makeover. Our apartment is set up with this weird little half-room in between our living room and kitchen. It houses our washer-dryer unit (which I have hidden behind a curtain), and it could serve as a small dining room if we wanted, but that idea never really appealed to us. We have a bistro table in a corner of our living room where we eat dinner together, and that’s plenty for us. At one point, I had a small sofa in the half-room, making it a little reading nook, but I think I sat there maybe once. For the last several years the half-room has housed this great desk that my sister-in-law gave me when she no longer needed it, but it has always turned into the place where we piled all of the junk that had no home.
I never sat down at the desk to work on my laptop — I always ended up working on the couch, and the desk remained the catchall for crap.ikea curtains vilborg With my new role as self-employed designer extraordinaire, I knew that I needed a cozy workspace that was just mine — something that would help me to stay organized and productive. alton print grommet window curtainPart one of this was removing the so-not-my-taste-anymore (and not wide enough) curtains that my mom quickly fashioned for me out of cheapo clearance fabric when I first moved in here 5.5 years ago. eclipse madison thermaback curtainsI was 24 and cheap, and thought it would do the trick. blue curtain falls versuri
The sagging curtain rod was so pathetic, but I just never wanted to put money into changing it. I finally had enough last month and Nick and I headed to Ikea, where we purchased the following:ikea akerkulla curtains two pairs of Lenda curtains, light beige, 98″ long – $14.99 per pairpencil pleat curtain hook spacing Dignitet curtain wire – $14.99three packs of Dignitet curtain rings with clips – $4.99 per packa box of Fixa screws/plugs – $3.99 Nick got to work as soon as we got home (he’s a saint) so I could breathe a little easier. The final result with the new curtain: Ahhhh… much better, no? Stay tuned for part two to see the full makeover, complete with my new chair and an organized workspace! 1) Create a curtain wire gallery.  This idea comes from the fabulous blog, Ohdeedoh.
Kalleen from At Second Street also did a great version of this HERE.  It's nice because you can just clip in the art work without making any holes in it.  Kalleen bought the Dignitet set at Ikea. 2) Check out this Dynamic Frame site.  It's really cool because their frames open like a door so you can easily change out the artwork anytime and your child feels pretty cool, having a prominent place to display his or her artwork in your home.  They have a lot of frame options as well. 4) Here's a pocket display you can purchase, which would also avoid injuring the walls and the artwork. 5) I LOVE this idea by Jen from A Thousand Words.  She took pictures of their artwork and made it into a collage.  I think this is fantastic and so cute, too. 6) Etsy seller SimplyCreate will make your child's artwork into a custom collage. 7) Lastly, I don't have a picture since I haven't made one yet.  I saw these giant unfinished clothespins at JoAnn's.  I thought it would be fun to mount 4-5 of them to a long strip of wood.
