My initial plan was to renovate our newly bought townhouse that we plan to rent as an executive/vacation rental in just six weeks.  Since we just took possession of the townhouse on October 20th (a little over two weeks ago) this has been a CHALLENGE. Then, once we took possession, my husband decided we should really update the Kitchen, so that added to the challenge.  So I’m not revealing the Kitchen or any of the main level, because updating the kitchen meant changing it’s flooring which affected the rest of that level too.  My plan is to keep posting updates every Thursday so those of you who can’t sleep at night because you’re dying to find out how it’s progressing will be able to check in weekly for your townhouse fix. One thing that might hamper my efforts is that I had a call from a Realtor two days ago.  She had two clients interested in a two bedroom temporary rental.  If we end up renting the townhouse before the Kitchen is redone (fingers crossed) then I’ll post the results once we are able to get it done.

Now to reveal the bedroom level.  My plan for the Master Bedroom was this: This is the before picture: Here’s how it turned out: My plan for the Guest Room was: The Guest Room before: I love how everything turned out.  I wish I could photograph it better, because my pictures really don’t express how lovely and transformed the rooms are.  It doesn’t help that we have had a serious drought here in the Dallas area and yet, it’s been raining cat and dogs the past couple of days as I’ve been trying the photograph these rooms.  These pictures were taken today when the sun finally came out again!  If  I do this again in the Spring (and I hope I can), I’m definitely getting a professional photographer.
