It is situated between Nos. 9 and 13 Coronation Street and was built in 1902. Past residents include Elsie, Dennis and Linda Tanner, Alan Howard, Ken and Janet Barlow, Gail Potter, Suzie Birchall, Bill, Kevin and Debbie Webster, Alf and Audrey Roberts, Jim, Liz, Steve and Andy McDonald, Paul Kershaw, Violet Wilson and the Peacock family. Eileen Grimshaw is the current owner and lives there with her son Todd, her current partner Pat Phelan and Todd's partner Billy Mayhew. The house contains a dining room, hall, kitchen and small front room on the ground floor, and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the upper floor.
It also has an outside toilet in the backyard. 11 Coronation Street was built along with the rest of the Coronation Street terraces between 1900 and 1902. The two-level Victorian house was completed on 8th August 1902 and its first residents, the Makepiece family, moved in on 9th August. The original layout of the house consisted of a front parlour, hallway, back room and scullery on the ground floor, three bedrooms on the upper floor, and an outside toilet and coal hole in the back yard. No big changes were made until the 1960s. As Elsie Tanner was friendly with Len Fairclough, Len did a few jobs on the cheap for her, including the installation of a new fireplace in the living room, decoration of the front parlour, and the conversion of one of the bedrooms into a bathroom. Elsie's biggest home improvement was a modernisation of the ground floor in late 1969 after she bought the house from Alfred Wormold: the kitchen facilities in the main living room were moved to the scullery, which was converted into a full kitchen, while the living room was redecorated.
Other changes made by Elsie include the changing of the locks to protect the house against bailiffs, the installation of a new pink bathroom suite, and two ceiling repair jobs in Elsie's bedroom: the first took place when Charlie Moffitt put his foot through the ceiling while laying flex in the neighbour loft, while the second was when neighbour Hilda Ogden bashed it with a broom handle in retaliation for Suzie Birchall damaging her ceiling.bed bath and beyond tamil shower curtain In 1980, No.11 was fire damaged when Elsie fell asleep with her cigarette still alight, and the living room sofa caught fire. blackout roman blinds dunelmElsie was lifted out of the house by Stan and Hilda Ogden and Stan and Ken Barlow put the fire out.made to measure curtains leamington spa

In 1998, the house was altered to make it wheelchair-friendly when Jim was paralysed after falling off scaffolding although he later recovered. The living room was redecorated in 1994 and 2000. The latter decoration was by Gwen Davies, Jim's girlfriend, who also replaced all of his furniture without his knowledge. When he found out she was being chased by debt collectors, he threw the new furniture in the Street and set fire to it. Eileen Grimshaw has lived at No.11 since 2001 but she had yet to make any major home improvements, other than the decoration of the living room which took place in 2006 and 2013, the latter one by fiancé Paul KershawIt could be curtains for Coronation Street couple Anna Windass and Kevin Webster next week, when she lets evil Pat Phelan get the better of her once again.Phelan (Connor McIntyre) has been taunting Anna ever since he arrived back in Weatherfield last month, but she will finally see red after learning that he'll be sticking around for the foreseeable future.
Anna is full of hope after Phelan's contract with Kevin comes to an end and he appears to be moving on at last. However, she will be horrified when she learns that Jason has given him a new job, meaning he isn't going anywhere anytime soon.Unable to keep a lid on her emotions any longer, Anna takes her anger out on Phelan's van before launching herself at him in a furious attack.Debbie Rush, who plays Anna, explained: "He tells her that he's sticking around for good because Jason's given him a job! He gets right into Anna's face and really taunts her where nobody else can see. "Anna walks into the cafe and something snaps to the point where she storms back out, picks up the crowbar and smashes his van to bits. She finds this inner strength from somewhere and does something she's never done before."Unfortunately for Anna, Kevin will arrive on the scene and is left horrified when he witnesses her anger-fuelled attack.Anna's obvious animosity towards Phelan has already driven a wedge between the pair, but could this be the final straw?
Rush said: "Kevin comes round the corner to see Anna attacking Phelan and suddenly everyone thinks it's Anna who is in the wrong - which is exactly what Phelan wanted! "He wanted to taunt her to breaking point in the hope that people would think it was her who was in the wrong.  "Kevin doesn't know what has brought Anna to this point. He panics and thinks he doesn't need this and this isn't what he signed up for when he started seeing Anna, especially after everything that happened with Jenny Bradley."Anna is so sad that this has ruined another relationship. All she wanted was a nice, happy and simple relationship. Anna also feels ashamed for allowing Phelan to get to her and to push her over the edge. "She also feels ashamed because Gary and Izzy witnessed it too, and she's always told Gary that this isn't how they deal with things and that violence isn't the way to resolve issues. "Rumours then start to spread around the Street about what she's done and about the destruction she's done to the van, so she's humiliated too.
More than anything Anna does feel saddened by it all."It remains to be seen whether Anna and Kevin can get their relationship back on track, but Rush has defended her character's reasons for not revealing the truth about her traumatic history with Phelan. She said: "She won't tell Kevin because she still feels completely ashamed of what happened. When she eventually plucked up the courage to tell Owen what had gone on, it completely destroyed their relationship. "Even though she wasn't with Kevin at the time, I think Anna worries it would also destroy their relationship and that Kevin might look at her in a different light."Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, February 19 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.Read more Coronation Street spoilers and newsDigital Spy Soap Scoop video - hit play below for gossip on Abi's pregnancy bombshell in EastEnders, Tracy blackmailing Carla in Coronation Street, Rhona's reaction to Paddy's affair in Emmerdale, and a shock scheme from the new Nightingales in Hollyoaks.
