The overall look of these in Smoke is a very soft organic, casual elegant tailored look. In this color they resemble wool. I couldn't be more pleased with their appearance and the soft quiet they impart. The antique brass grommets add to the softness. However, given their overall thickness with the lining I was surprised they didn't block light completely like Thermaback does; this is my first experience with Thermalayer and I ended up doubling them with another set of Thermaweave I already had; achieving complete darkness and quiet. Although these are very heavy, they are somewhat delicate. Construction isn't perfect, but for the price acceptable. I also would appreciate the tags being in the center or perhaps the bottom. They're on the same side of both panels and they can stick out, not a big deal, just a picayune observation. They're made in China. These curtains are great, they block out enough light and are very nice but the blue color is definitely more green than blue and a lot darker than I anticipated.
