They are a flannely/textured type fabric. I bought 4 of these panels and they don't even block out 50% of the light on a cloudy day. I am exchanging them. We bought the same brand and skew number several years ago and were happy with the curtains. When the old ones wore out we thought we bought the same thing again. The newly purchased curtains were made of a very thin backing allowing a lot of light through. I was really excited to get these panels for a project I was working on.

This product is a much darker green than the picture. I was very disappointed. I bought this because of the description "Black ou". I also watched the video and read and look at the picture that shows how this curtain blocks light but it does not considering that it already have a lining at the back but still, does not block anything. Don't buy this curtain. I was so excited to order these, I ordered the artichoke, perfect match to a color in my couch pillows, they would've been the finishing touch to my new livingroom.

What the heck, anyway, I wouldn't buy these sight unseen that's for sure because I also ordered a blue panel in case the green was too vibrant, I could barely tell the green from the blue. They were both so dark and dingy, like dirty dishwater. Vibrant wasn't something I should've worried about. I ordered these online excited about the price of Eclipse curtains since I own two sets of them already and they work great. Instead they sent me Insola brand, I don't even see them on the Walmart website, but I see them on Bed Bath and Beyond and Amazon.

I did open one package up to inspect the thickness and build compared to my other Eclipse curtains, not nearly as good. good price, good service, but the product was not as it claimed light blocking, returned right away, thanks to Walmart. A nice shade of red for a boys room - not too cardinal bright and not too maroon looking.

I just wish they came in a 54" length so I didn't have to hem them.
