I need to know how far they will sit from the wall please.When the pole is at its shortest, the farthest point from the wall is 118mm, and the centre of the pole will be 100mm out. This pole does come with brackets; the smaller sizes come with two brackets, and the larger poles which come in two parts come with an additional centre bracket. When joining 2 pieces of pole, does the join need to be in the centre of the final length, or is the join smooth enough that it can be off centre? Hi Dee, thank you for your question. The join would be smooth enough for the join to be off-centred however, we do recomend the join to be centralised as it is a weak spot in the pole and requires support for the larger lenghts. These brackets appear to be the same as the ones supplied with the Ashton pole.
