I had a fillet steak which was cooked to perfection. The staff were helpful is setting up a large table for a work farewell. Will definitely go back there for dinner. Went in for a light meal, but everything had fries with it basically. Only the BLT had something a bit lighter. Menu should have a lighter option especially in the summer, 1 salad does not really cover that Also seemed expensive compared to other places for what we had that night I go here often, whether it is for a family meal, fire side drinks with my husband or soft drink with colleagues. Staff will always find a table, no matter how packed it looks. Never a frown on any of the staff Obliging, family friendly, good meals. What a great place we have found! Wonderful staff with a super friendly welcome from both the barman (probably the owner) and the waitress. The atmosphere was that of an irish pub, with lots of laughter and noise, with barely a free table in sight. We enquired if there was a place for us as walkins and we were assured... It is by far he best atmosphere I have ever eaten in. The place was jam packed with everyone laughing and talking at the same time. The service was fantastic and so efficient no one was kept waiting for very long. The food was great and when night settled in they closed the front curtains and made it seem even... Do call in to the Jolly Potter and experience great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. This is a jewel of a place to wine, dine or just catch up with friends. Always a warm welcome at The Jolly Potter!! Friendly staff and great food. The steaks were the best I have had in ages and terrific value, Puts many large restaurants to shame.
