In 1998, SRG opened a 240,000 square foot fulfillment centre in Laverton, an industrial suburb in Melbourne. Combined with the latest computer systems as well as highly optimised modern fulfillment processes, the logistics team is well positioned to support SRG’s ever increasing growth.Anaconda and Spotlight’s dedicated support teams are located at the SRG Support Group in South Melbourne. These teams include the buyers, operations, logistics, marketing, customer service, property, accounting, administration and information technology teams, which support all retail outlets within the Spotlight Retail Group.SRG represents the best value and choice for millions of loyal customers who regularly shop at their local Spotlight and Anaconda stores, making SRG one of the most successful and fastest growing retailers in Australasia.Spotlight’s VIP Club

This opening was a great success with thousands of people filling the car park before the store was due to open. New Zealanders were hooked on Spotlight and Spotlight was hooked on New Zealand, following this first store, three more stores followed opening in quick succession – Wellington (April 1996), Manakau City (November 1996), and Christchurch (January 1997).Since then the business has continued to grow in New Zealand, expanding to different locations, increasing staff and offering new categories to customers. In 1997 a Support Group opened in Auckland, to assist the ever expanding store network.Currently there are 20 Spotlight stores scattered around New Zealand and the business has been cemented as one of the major retailers in the country. In 2016 Spotlight celebrated 20 years of doing business in New Zealand and is proud to be bigger and better than ever in the NZ market.Let us know if you are interested in a career at Spotlight New Zealand.Spotlight South East AsiaAfter much planning and searching for the right location, the first store in Asia, and Spotlight’s first store overseas, opened in Orchard Point, Singapore on the 30th of September 1995.
The grand opening featured huge crowds, a giant kangaroo and record sales! In 2002, Spotlight moved from Orchard Plaza to a newer site at Plaza Singapura and then extended that site in 2004 to ensure that the store could continue to fit the ever expanding ranges. Since that store opened 20 years ago, the store has continued to flourish and be successful, with customers enjoying the same huge range of products and the same bargains galore that customers in Australia love so much. Singapore continues to be one of the best performing stores within the business. The next step into expanding into Asia occurred in 2014, when again after much planning, Spotlight opened the first store in Ampang Point, Malaysia. Opening day was again amazing, with thousands of people queuing throughout the center and up escalators ready to shop the new brand new store. In 2015 Spotlight continued to expand into Malaysia, opening three new stores.
