These were actually my first pair of hold backs that I have ever purchased and I have to say so far so good. I usually buy valances because of my dogs and have never needed tie backs before but I just bought new blackout curtains for my bedroom and still needed something to hold back the curtains for our cool summer Idaho nights and something that will be strong enough to withstand the winds we have here. I think I found them! The metal is hardy, does the job well and looks nice, not cheap and they match my metal bed. The curtains are heavy and I think these will still be able to hold them back easily, they were easy to put up and to assemble (not much there). For the price I couldn't be happier! Nice looking & good quality I have these in every room. It was very hard to get both screws in because of the way they are made. I had to leave one screw out. Also all the curtain will not stay in the loop because they cut the curve off too quick. But they are pretty and I also paid more in the store.
