His legacy continues today with Morris & Co. producing authentic versions of his original designs alongside new interpretations to create up to date fabrics, wallpapers and furnishings with a timeless appeal. The bedlinen collection is printed on pure cotton 300 thread count percale and each design is available in four sizes of duvet cover ( single, double, king, super king) with co-ordinating pillowcases and accessories. Printed on a pure cotton 300 thread count percale and available in four sizes of duvet cover (single, double, king, super king) with co-ordinating pillowcases and accessories. This charming print features an abundance of naively drawn meadow flowers in a regularly spaced arrangement, resting on a soft cream ground. Edged with a sage coloured piping, the design is complemented with a reverse of printed grass tufts. Inspired by medieval illustrations, William Morris and his wife Jane first embroidered daisy motifs in 1860 for their home Red House. ‘Daisy’ was the second Morris & Co. wallpaper to be hand block printed and proved to be one of the most popular of all The Firm’s wallpapers.

The bedlinen is accessorised with an embroidered linen mix cushion featuring floral motifs within a scrolling trellis and a fringed wool blanket in claret tones. ‘Strawberry Thief’ is one of William Morris’ most famous designs. He was inspired to create the original fabric after watching thrushes stealing strawberries from the kitchen garden of his countryside home, Kelmscott Manor, in Oxfordshire. The bedlinen features this enduringly elegant design printed onto 300 thread count cotton percale, edged with navy piping and reversing to a delicate willowbough pattern coloured in an indigo palette. Layer the bed with a co-ordinating quilted throw or the Woodford Plaid wool blanket. A linen mix cushion embroidered with delicate motifs of flowers and fruit within a scrolling trellis is a beautiful addition to the bed. Willow bough was designed by William Morris for wallpaper in 1887 and can be seen in Jane Morris’ bedroom at Kelmscott Manor as well as many other Morris houses.

A naturalistic treatment of one of Morris’ favourite themes, it continues to be one of his best loved designs. The elegant foliage pattern is coloured in a china blue colour palette set on an ivory ground. The duvet cover, oxford pillowcase and quilted throw are self reversing and bordered with a blue piped edging. A wall hanging from Kelmscott Manor provided the inspiration for the embroidered accessory cushion and the Acanthus matelasse cotton throw adds a final layer to the bed. ‘Larkspur’ is a classic Morris design, depicting elaborate winding stems of fern and leaves around small groups of flowers. The original pattern was created by Morris as a single colour block print wallpaper first issued in 1872. It was redrawn in 1875 giving it more colour and depth and became an instant success and far more popular than the original monochrome version. Printed on smooth 300 thread count cotton percale the main design is complemented with a simple spotty print reverse. The collection includes a large quilted bed throw and a linen mix cushion featuring a charming floral embroidered decoration.
